You may have issues with the speakers, but that doesn't mean everyone does. This isn't a matter of VATS being useful or not, but saying Fallout is known for VATS is asinine.

Fallout is not "known for VATS" ask majority of people here and they'll probably say they use VATS less in this game. Holograms may be annoying for you, not for others. Taking gear at the start may be annoying for you, not for others. Seeing the MIXED, not NEGATIVE mind you, should be enough to see that overall the feedback in the dlc is mixed. Taking everything, and replacing with pissas terrible weapons, while having really strong tank enemies, or literal immortal enemies is just some nonsense artificial "difficulty increase" That and the toxic gas just do everything they can to discourage one from being able to sneak around and loot and explore the map to it's fullest. Not even mentioning that for some reason they decided to add ones that can't even be destroyed once you see them. You have a limited time in range before you die, so you have to step in and out to try and find it, which is just a time waste. These very obnoxious radio and speakers make no sense. Fallout is literally known for VATS, so an enemy that cannot take damage, is nonsense in a game that's known for it's unique combat mechanics. The other enemy is literally a hologram that has absolutely massive attack, and CAN NOT be hurt. Taking the entirety of someones ginding, gear, and resources, and trading them for baby pistols and melee weapons against these tanks isn't "an increase in difficulty" it's just a lack of creative thinking to actually increase difficulty. There is a very clear reason why the majority of the FNV playerbase doesn't like the DLC. It's the people like you that boggle my mind, to say something as ignorant as you don't understand why people hate it, because you haven't delved into the issue. I've never spent any time delving into why people don't like it (perhaps, like you, they find it too difficult) but I don't let Steam reviews decide what I think of a game/DLC. Originally posted by pontfogel:Yes, DM is a love or hate DLC, it seems. I just wish I could leave the DLC and not finish, but they really felt the need to trap you in the DLC so you couldn't just set it and forget it? I play on very hard, and the ghost people are just beyond infuriating to fight, between their insta boost jump and lunges at you, to extreme throwing accuracy. I am a very thorough player, I was almost level 49 when i started, and this is the first DLC i'm doing, and its just so far from the game it's not fun. A literal invincible enemy.ĭoes anyone actually enjoy to collar? The backing in and out of areas trying to find where the radio or speaker is? Then after spending a bunch of time running in and out of range, you just happen to finally find it, and it's one with "a shield" so it can't be destroyed. Am i seriously supposed to enjoy fighting something with a bear trap hand, or a police pistol? The security holograms not being able to take damage is nonsense.

But they take all your weapons before you start.

There are ghost people with health at 450. I for the life of me, do not see how they could do this.
